My breaking point with Rogers

Monday 27 March 2017
Rogers needs to take responsibility for their faulty product. They sold me a phone that didnt work for the 2 year contract. And yes, i did have techs come out for my TV and internet not working. Multipe techs have come out and are unable to fix it. I dont want a third tech coming out because that requires me to rearrange my whole schedule, i have a toddler so it disturbs his schedule. As well we have had experiences with hostile and pushy techs. They would linger outside our door when they came significantly early.
Why pay money when your services don't work and you've gotten disrespected. All my services were with rogers. Rogers doesn't appreciate my efforts and are not willing to work with me, but rather i have to do it on their terms. The amount of frustration and disrespect I've been through is astonishing. my breaking point was when they told me to take food out of my sons mouth. I want respect and ownership and they have yet to do that.
For the past 4 years, i have not gone one month with all my services working properly. My recent issues with rogers, in regards to my cellphone, as shown me their true colors.

Dove Absolute Quench Review

Wednesday 22 March 2017
Hey guys
I recently received a sample in the maiI for Dove absolute quench shampoo and conditioner. I also received the serum but i have only tested the shampoo and conditioner so i am going to let you all know my thoughts.
I love dove. I love their hair line and what it does for my hair and how it smells. They are a bit pricey but if you wait till it goes on sale,  it easier on your wallet.
The absolute line is part of their advanced hair series line. They do recommend that you use the shampoo and conditioner together. These products are recommended for people with wavy or curly hair. I have wavy hair but my hair gets dry extremely fast which results in it appearing damaged. I don't use hair styling tools daily, only every once in awhile when i am going out for a special occasions.
I was so excited to try out this product. This product claims to strengthen your hair, nourish your curls, helps protect against damage, improve manageability for 3 days and helps make your hair look soft and shiny.
I wash my hair 3x a week. The top of my hair is usually why i wash it as often as i do. The top gets oily fast which makes it appear greasy and dirty, whereas my ends look dry.
I fell in love with this product. I didn't feel the need to wash my hair as often as i usually do. After one use my hair was instantly softer, i wouldn't say i noticed it being shinier but it did look a lot healthier. Before using the shampoo i would've wanted to go to a hair salon, since my hair looked so shabby but after using these products my hair looked amazing. My boyfriend even noticed the scent and complimented me.i loved how healthy and how it naturally defined my waves were. If i was styling my hair daily, i wouldn't feel the need to do so, since it looked amazing naturally.
I did test the claim about the manageability and skipped a day washing my hair and it lived up to it. This line has lived up to all their claims with the added bonus of it smelling amazing.
In canada this product goes for $6.99 for  250ml of shampoo. For me personally it is a bit expensive since i do wash my hair often.  If your budget can handle it i would highly recommend this product. If you have wavy or curly hair i strongly urge you to try this product. I love the dove line and what it stands for and how amazing their products always make my hair feel.

Grocery shopping and cooking on a budget

Monday 13 March 2017

Hey Guys,

We have all been there before. We spent to much money, an unexpected expense came up etc. Now we are stuck buying food that will feed the family (or ourselves) on a budget! I have been there before, and it took me awhile to figure out a formula that worked for me. Here are my tips

Get bang for your buck!
Don't be afraid to do the math o. Products. Spend extra time looking at the price and weight for food. I now buy onions and potatoes loose. I cant tell you how many times i have bought those things and they get bad quickly. Often times i will buy 5 to 6 onions and i will throw a few of them away. Now i look at how many onions or potatoes i will need for the week and i will buy 1 extra in case they get bad, i want to use more or i miscalculated.that way i buy what i need, and i am able to go through the produce and pick the ones i want. Often i end up spending less that way. Here in canada for instance, potatoes havent been on sale for awhile, and i end up spending less buying them individually.

Use ingredients more then once
If i am buying a certain frozen vegetable i will use them in more then one meal. That ensures i will be stretching that one ingredient. buying one pack of beef costs 5-6$. But if i gut a bigger pack i spend 10$ and i save money, and use it for 2 meals. You don't want to spend a lot if money on one ingredient that you will use once .

Vegetables
I always try to have meals that have an emphasis on vegetables. Part of the reason is ,that they are reasonably priced and they don't tax you on it. They fill you up without having to spend a lot of money. A lot of recipes call for a lot of vegetables which bulks it up and makes it more filling eg. Shepherds pie, pasta, stir fry etc. It makes things healthier and a lot more satisfying. Find out what is in season and build your meals off of that. If you buy what is in season, it is often cheaper.

Get meals that stretch
One thing i love doing is making a pasta, lasagna, meat pie etc because i can eat it that night and have it for the next day. What i do is, every friday is my leftover day. Whatever we didnt finish that week, or i made to much of, we eat on friday. This also helps clean out the fridge. I can also freeze anything i have leftover and use it those days i don't have anything to cook or i am lazy.  Often making a big meal gurantees you will have some for the next day and usually dont involve a lot of ingredients.

Stock up on essentials
Some of the things we always have is butter, flour, cheese and eggs. There is so much you can do with those ingredients. I can always bake something for breakfast, fry food or even do some cornbread which makes a meal much more filling. Know what your family enjoys, and what you go through a lot. I am a strong believer in making things myself ( if i can) i don't like the extra fat and sugar in store bought baked goods. I love being able to bake things myself and make it healthier. Because i love baking i always the basics in my house. This way when money it tight you don't need to go out and buy these things, but rather build off of it.

Enfamil Toddler package Review

Tuesday 7 March 2017
Hey Guys,

Im sure by now we all know how expensive babies and toddlers are, anything that helps ease the expenses i am all for. One of the many great things i love about Kayden's milestones is how generous companies are. When you sign up for certain samples when they are newborns, the perks keep coming.
Once kayden became a toddler enfamil sent coupons for a toddler drink. I have had the worst experiences with online coupons, many stores dont accept them, which has resulted in me missing out on many deals. I signed up for enfamil to send me everything physically in the mail.
They sent me a toddler package which came with 4 samples.

What I got
2 samples of single serve packets of enfagrow A+ regular
2 samples enfagrow A+ vanilla
Your toddler booklet

My review
I am going to start off by saying Kayden switched to whole milk at 11 months. Kayden is average size and was never put on a diet. Kayden was on formula after a month of being born.
When kayden switched to whole milk, he stopped having is warmed up. Enfagrow single serve packets require the water to be warmed up which turned him off. For me personally, it didnt smell to appetizing either. Kayden was hesitant for awhile. When he finally did try the drink he didnt
care for it.
In my opinion, if you put your toddler on this drink once they have switched over to milk, it will most likely ensure that they will enjoy it.
I loved the booklit they sent me for kayden. Even though the drink was not to kaydens liking, i learned a lot about why DHA is important. It also informed me where kayden should be developmentally and some activities to help promote development.

Entertaining Tips

Wednesday 1 March 2017
Hey Guys,

Regardless of how many kids you have, having people over can be overwhelming. My boyfriend and I have people over all the time, and Ill admit it, as stressed out as I get, i love it! After I had Kayden, i realized it is not as easy as it use to be. Here are some tips to help you make it a little easier. I start planning 2-4 weeks before the event

Make a list
I know this sounds so obvious, but it is constantly overlooked. I make a list for everything, food, plates, decor etc. I like buying items slowly so i love going down my list and crossing items off if i see them on sale or if i have a quiet weekend. A list will remind you What you need to do. i am constantly adding things to it, and if i didnt write it down i would never remember. My boyfriend got me into making lists on my phone, which is so handy! It is always on me and i know i won't loose it.

Have something for everyone
Sonetimes when you have people coming over there are some dietary restraints, so try to have a few dishes that you know everyone will enjoy. For instance if we have a vegetarian over, i make sure there are plenty of neutral snacks and appetizers that everyone can enjoy e.g. cheese platter, chips, spring rolls etc. That way no one feels uncomfortable or that they cant participate.

Drinks
It is so easy to rack up a high bill when buying drinks. Ill admit we go a bit crazy when we buy alcohol. Our friends dont drink a lot of pop which saves us some money. We try to get a good idea of What people like to drink. We love white wine, so even if we dont finish the bottle, that is something we would definetly drink. Dont be afraid to buy wine that is on sale, unless they are a wine connoisseur they probably wont be able to tell the difference.

Food
Its hard to know how much food to make or buy. I like to do a mix of buying things from the store and making things from scratch. I try to have a dip of some kind, whether its veges and dip or chips and dip. That helps eliminate stress. Another favorite of mine is a cheese and meat plate. I always try to incorporate atleast 1 homemade appetizer. It doesn't have to he extravagant, you could even do a homemade dip.
If i do a dinner, i always try to make the desserts the night before. Because baking is so specific, i like to do it when i am calm and i have no distractions i.e. when Kayden is sleeping. I understand that baking isnt everyones forte, so go ahead and buy baked goods from the store.
With dinner i like the main dish to be the spotlight. I try to have some variety so people dont feel like they need to have 1 thibg. For instance for a starch ill do rolls and mashed potatoes/ rice. Have a vegetable, salad, and a fun or different side you wouldnt normally make.

Have something for children
I know all of our friends dont have kids, so there are times when Kayden has no one to play with and is surrounded by adults. Thank God for our PVR. I always ensure we have his favorite shows available for him to occupy his time, and his favorite snacks. For the most part, that holds him over. I also try to have something for him to do as well, a craft, special toy or music for him to dance to. Often i am cooking and Curtis is in charge of mingling with the guests, so whenever I can keep Kayden occupied it is so much easier on us.
